Our Daughters Wedding!

2012 is here and so many of you have weddings and other big events ahead and much planning still taking place. November 6th of 2011 was our daughters wedding and we went through all of the planning that some of you are going through now.

The wedding was beautiful. It was held at the Mitten Building in Redlands and she went with a fall theme. The atmosphere of the old packing plant was perfect for the theme. Fall leaves replaced the traditional rose petals on the white runner and candle light lit the way to the altar.

While planning that special event don't forget to let your personality shine through in the theme. It is a beautiful way to celebrate that special day. If you haven't been in yet to design your cake it isn't too late. Don't forget if you would like to set up an appointment for tasting we need at least 24 hours notice.

And to celebrate the new year, we would like to offer you 15% off any wedding cake ordered and paid for during the month of January! (does not apply on existing wedding cakes with a balance due). Our staff is always here to help you with any cake large or small, to help with your special day. We hope that the New Year brings much health and happiness to all of you. This will be the first episode aired of this Lifetime Channel Production. Thanks to the Bride and her Mother-in Law. Well a cake pop is a ball of our delicious cake with filling shaped as a ball and dipped into white or milk chocolate on a sick! It is a very simple idea but has its very own flavor compared to a single slice of cake...

Sorry everyone for the lack of posts the past few weeks. The holidays were a busy time for us! Thousands of cookies, countless number of rolls and breads not to mention all of our Gingerbread events. This month of January we will be getting everything ready for the new year. Within this year a lot of things are changing, by the end of next week we plan to have all new decorations on our in-store display cakes. Also at some point were planning on a slight change of the inside decorations of our Ontario location. But this month of january we will be having a FREE cup cake give away day so make sure u stop by and pick up a free cup cake. I will be posting more about it when we have finalized the day.

Cubscouts and gingerbread boys!

This Holiday we have be very busy doing after hour events! Last week we had around 120 scouts come in and decorate gingerbread boys. Not only did they get to decorate them but they also got a tour of the bakery and got to see how we make the gingerbread boy!

Our second build your own gingerbread house event was another success. Family's worked very hard to create some very outstanding looking houses and also some gingerbread boys for the children! We also had a surprise even we didn't know about, our decorator Tammy showed up to do face painting for the kids.

Once again we would like the thank everyone that took part in these events. Since it was such a hit we will plan more nights next Christmas season!

With today being our second build your own gingerbread house event the entire bakery smells of fresh gingerbread! The first night was a great time, everyone really enjoyed themselves and created very unique houses!

With Christmas just a few weeks away, and all the Christmas decorations up its time to get into the holiday spirit! Ontario Bakery will be offering all of our usual seasonal items! With addition of something new, this year we will be offering three nights after store hours at our Ontario location where you and your family or friends can come in with the help of our decorators to build an amazing looking gingerbread house for you to take home and enjoy over the holiday season! As another Holiday Season draws upon us, all of us here at the Ontario Bakeries would like to wish you the happiest of holiday seasons. We know that the last year may have been a difficult one for many. Take time to count your many blessings and rejoice in time spent with family and for all of the good that remains in our lives. As the owners of Ontario Bakery we will be planning for a full year ahead with the recent engagement of our daughter Heather. Some of you know Heather as the morning sales person at the Ontario Location. We will now find ourselves in the very same spot as many of our customers, planning a wedding. Our oldest son Matt continues to work the store as well and will continue to provide you with amazing pastries and beautiful fondant decorated cakes. We would like to share some pictures of some wedding style cakes that we have made the past week. Each cake has its own style depending on the colors chosen by the bride to match her very special day!

This very simple cake design really came to life after the bridal party brought in some fresh flowers for our decorators to add to her cake. Leaving the cake looking beautiful.

This Hello Kitty birthday cake has Fondant borders and side work. Fondant is a new thing for us to be using but the more we use it the better were getting.

This plain iced cake with only a few sugar flowers and ribbon sure turned out to be very elegant.

This is a Halloween themed two tier cake that was decorated by our cake artist Andrea. With alot of blacks and reds she brought out the spooky look to the cake.

With the addition of Freddy Kruger's scratch marks she also added brains and guts to the cake made out of butter-cream. Just by looking at the details of this cake you are able to tell that she spent a lot of time and creativity creating it. We always enjoy when someone asks us to get as creative as possible while making these extremely fun themed cakes!
